Hive Festival: Sweep It Out The Door, Let It Come In The Window

Get creative and take a moment to think about the year ahead. In this free drop-in workshop, you’ll design your own postcard. On one side, draw or write something you’d like to leave behind; like a thought, feeling, or experience you’re ready to let go of. On the other side, imagine what you’d love to welcome in for 2026. This can be a hope, a dream, or something exciting for the future!

When your postcard is complete, it will join others at the Gallery to be sent to artist Kate Mitchell. She’ll burn them in a special ceremony, releasing what’s no longer needed and sending your wishes soaring into the sky. It’s a creative way to reflect, share, and start the new year with fresh energy!

Drop in to the workshop any time during the listed hours. Materials and instructions are provided. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
