Apply to Exhibit

Looking to exhibit at Wollongong Art Gallery?

With nine exhibition spaces plus external panels, we invite you to submit your exhibition application for consideration in our upcoming program.

The Gallery aims to present a diverse program, so we select exhibitions that explore a range of ideas, mediums, and practices. The exhibitions help encourage people to visit and use the Gallery as well as support our education and public programs.

We also welcome site-specific works that may suit some of our more unusual spaces. These spaces may be available sooner than the more typical spaces in our Gallery.

If you are a local artist or community group, our Community Access Gallery is available to hire for a four-week exhibition period and may be a suitable option.

The 2024 program is full. We are looking forward to presenting an exciting program of exhibitions in 2025 and will be accepting new exhibition proposals from July 2024.

Submit an exhibition proposal

If you would like to have an exhibition in the Gallery, please submit a proposal for consideration. Your proposal must provide an outline and details of your exhibition including:

  • proposed outcomes
  • practicalities such as preferred dates, dimensions, number of works
  • any expected costs
  • sample images of your work.

Please read the Artist Exhibition Proposal Guidelines before submitting your proposal.

Once you're ready, email your proposal to The Gallery's Program Director.
