Edge City Enrichment Program
In this program, students will explore Edge City, an exhibition examining suburbs, housing, and everyday environments with a focus on Wollongong and surrounding regions.
Through a guided writing activity, students will produce a short critical response to a selected artwork, with standout responses displayed alongside the works for the duration of the exhibition. The session concludes with a hands‑on mixed‑media workshop, where students create their own suburban scene inspired by houses in the Illawarra.
Program Highlights
Guided Exhibition Tour: Led by the Education Officer, students will engage critically with contemporary artworks.
Art Critique Writing: Students will write responses to selected works, with a selection professionally printed and displayed in the gallery.
Suburban Mixed Media: Students will look at houses in the Illawarra and use different materials to create their own suburban scene.
