First Nations Dance and Art Enrichment Program
Celebrate the power of First Nations storytelling through movement in this dynamic dance workshop set within Recollection. Surrounded by striking bark paintings from across Arnhem Land, Groote Eylandt and the Tiwi Islands, students will deepen their understanding of how culture, Country and identity are expressed through both visual art and dance.
Guided by Gumaraa Aboriginal Experience, students will learn traditional Aboriginal dance movements inspired by stories of animals, land and community. Through rhythm, music and storytelling, they’ll discover how movement has long been used to share knowledge and connect generations.
This engaging, hands-on experience fosters respect, cultural awareness and creativity in an inclusive and energetic environment, no prior dance experience required.
