Temporary Closure for Building Works

Wollongong Art Gallery will undergo a temporary closure to support essential works on the heritage-listed building.

Work is scheduled to begin in November 2026 and is expected to take approximately 12 months, with the Gallery planned to re-open in November 2027.

During this period:

  • The Gallery building will be closed to the public
  • Safety fencing will be installed around the site

While the building is closed, the team will continue working behind the scenes—developing an exciting program of events to celebrate the Gallery’s 50th anniversary in 2028!
