Music and Tea - Horizons
Thu 4 September 2025
11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Join us for this month's Music and Tea session and experience the artistry of the Sydney Conservatorium String Ensemble.
Expanding experience and inspiring enthusiasm – The Sydney Conservatorium String Ensemble performs under the direction of Goetz Richter to bring masterworks to life in entirely unheard conceptions. These musicians perform with a transformative intuition.
Their program will feature:
- Ottorino Respighi’s enchanting Ancient Airs and Dances.
- Leoš Janáček’s youthful & romantic Suite for String Orchestra.
- Gerard Brophy, Song Over the Land, composed for the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Australian Strings Association and inspired by the poetry of the Austrian poet and novelist, Rainer Maria Rilke.
This is part of the Emerging Concert Artists 2025 series, produced by Inspire Music Australia, and presented at Wollongong Art Gallery.
Tickets are free but bookings are essential via Humantix.
