Music and Tea - Piano Music from the Heart

Join us for this month's Music and Tea session for a program rich with favourite composers from the polyphony of J.S. Bach and classical charm of J. Haydn through to the romantic voices of F. Chopin, A. Scriabin and I. Albeniz and moving forward into the twentieth century with S. Rachmaninov.

Xingyao (Elsa) Li, 13, began piano lessons with Dan Wei at the age of 5. In 2021, Elsa joined the Rising Stars program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she studies with Natalia Ricci. In 2023, Elsa participated in the Sydney International Piano Competition Showcase, she has also been successful in national and international competitions in recent year. Elsa first performed in the ECAS in October 2022.

Lucas Wang is a student of Natalia Riccin in the Rising Stars program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a recipient of the Kathleen Holmes McCrea Pianoforte Scholarship. Lucas has enjoyed success as a prizewinner on numerous occasions in the Sydney and Inner West Eisteddfods. Lucas enjoys a wide range of music, from Couperin to Penderecki. He has also busked on the streets playing the Hulusi, a Chinese wind instrument.

This is part of the Emerging Concert Artists 2025 series, produced by Inspire Music Australia, and presented at Wollongong Art Gallery.
