Adelaide Cello Trio meets Cellissimo! Cello Quartet

The Adelaide Cello Trio unites three highly accomplished cellists: Kurt Hess from Switzerland, John Benz from Sydney and Brisbane based cellist André Duthoit (QSO). These three musicians have been performing together in Europe regularly since 2002.

Cellissimo! Cello Quartet is the powerhouse cello section of the Steel City Strings. After many years playing together, cellists Rita Woolhouse (Canberra) Catherine Barnett (Bowral), Karella Mitchell (Nowra), and Louisa Lovasz (Wollongong) decided to form their own Cellissimo! Cello Quartet.

Following from the success of their inaugural concert in July 2024, these accomplished cellists will reunite for a special concert performing Bach, Purcell, Rabinowitz, Tavares, Villa-Lobos, Hans Zimmer, Satie and more!
