GO BAG
Curated by Olivia Welch
15 August - 1 November 2026
GO BAG looks at the many forms of transient living, from migration and housing insecurity to the broader experience of movement and adaptation. Themes of displacement, belonging and resilience emerge through works that reflect on diasporic identity, community, and survival.
Artists including Mitch Davis, Lucky Lartey, Vanessa Inkamala and Michael Kempson, Bonnie Huang, Scotty So, and Kartika and Kyati Suharto-Martin reference the familiar red, white and blue/black woven bag as a global symbol of travel and transition. Through material ingenuity and cultural resonance, GO BAG contemplates the practical and emotional weight of what we carry — and what we leave behind.
