Filmed across Siksika land in Canada and Yaegl and Tharawal lands in Australia, We are the land we walk upon brings together artists Tess Allas, Frances Belle Parker and Adrian Stimson, who walk on each other’s home Countries to share stories of history, spirituality and survival.

Through movement and conversation, the artists reflect on what it means to belong to a place, a people and a community.
Interwoven with quotes from ancestors and elders, the work connects past and present, revealing the resilience that sustains Indigenous communities across continents. Combining archival material, drone footage and a pulsing powwow soundtrack, the film becomes a poetic act of homage to land as memory, kin and continuity.
